10 essentials: for your Average College Male..!!!

1. A basic black t-shirt
Just like women have their “Little Black Dress”, all men should have their solid black t-shirt. from V-necks to y-necks to crew necks, the basic black t-shirt can be worn with just about anything to fit any occasion. It's all a matter of choice, as for me, i prefer the Polo Ralph Lauren black V-neck.




2. a pair of brown boots
Sneakers can't be worn everyday, therefore a pair of boots will always come in handy. Though many argue that the black boot is more versatile, i prefer the brown boot. Sometimes the black boot can come of as too edgy/punk-rock(ish), while the brown boot always seems to be just right, no matter the outfit.

3. Lots of tee shirts
simple but essential, every college student should have a lot of t-shirts. Having a good number of shirts will carry you through the weeks when you just gotta get up and go without putting too much thought into your clothing choices. Because like Giorgio Armani said "I've always thought of the T-shirt as the Alpha and Omega of the fashion alphabet".



4. Two versatile pairs of fitted jeans (at least one denim).
Every college student should have at least one pair of fitted jeans. Something simple and nice can go a long way. From going to class to an evening social, a pair of fitted dark denim jeans is the answer. Nothing to fancy or trendy, just nice pair of good looking jeans that make you look and feel good. i prefer the Levi 511/514.

5. pair of khaki/Gray trousers
I know it seems crazy, but as a college student there will come a day when you can not wear jeans. Therefore when that day comes, you'll be happy you invested in some khaki/Gray trousers. From classy to casual, khaki/gray trousers can be the finish touch your outfit needs to take it to the next level.




6. A blazer
Nothing, and i mean NOTHING is more versatile than a blazer. From a formal get together to a night out with the lady, the blazer is the ultimate deal breaker. from the fall to the winter, it is always in style. The classic navy blue goes well with anything, from polo's, jeans, or a button down. There are many styles to choose from, so if in doubt, stick with the timeless classic navy blue blaze with gold buttons. You can never go wrong with that.

7. button down shirt
Either the classic black or white, Can be worn with everything from a blazer to the dark denim. whatever the color, the button down can easily be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion.



8. Pair of Designer Shoes
As a Fan of sneakers, i believe the more sneakers the better. As a college student, most of your time will be spent in class or a casual setting, therefore you can never go wrong with a pair of sneakers. From the classics like Adidas/converse to the trendier shoes like ato matsumoto, sneakers come in so many different styles and shape, which ultimately means, THE MORE THE BETTER.



9. The classic Polo shirt
Polo’s are a great everyday shirt, suitable for class, work, social events or wherever else your night may lead you. Though many just go for the Polo Ralph Lauren brand, they're many other brands to choose from. Like Lacoste and Express Men polo's.



10. your College t-shirt
Whether you like your school or not, fact still remains you are a student there. therefore you should rep your school. From big schools like university of Texas to the smaller schools like Tulane university , there is a shirt for every student.


Remember: as Hubert de Givenchy said "The dress must follow the body of a woman, not the body following the shape of the dress". This simple means, always dress according to your body type.
